Bailey

1w2w3w5w8wBailey is a country girl so we headed to Cave Creek, AZ to get that look for her senior session. We encountered a bit of rain right in the middle of the shoot but that didn’t stop us!! That just made the temperature perfect for this time of year! This was the first time meeting Bailey and she relaxed so quickly in front of the camera! I was impressed! There was little work on my end! Bailey had a lot of fun during her senior session. I hope you enjoy her sneak peek!

Mariah

1-w3-w4-w6-w7-w8-wOh Mariah!! Your location was spot on for your personality! One of my senior reps who I have known for a few years now, has a huge love for our Arizona desert! She LOVES cactus! She suggested this location, which ended up being more spectacular than I had envisioned! Her mom, her and I were in awe of how magnificent Arizona’s desert could be. The day after a rain fall here is absolutely amazing and that is what Mariah had for her senior session! I will take God’s great backdrop over studio any day!!

Mariah will be heading to GCU this fall and will be trying out for their cheer team in a couple of months! Much luck to you Mariah! I was honored to be your photographer and give you your “perfect” backdrop!

Derek

2-w3-w1-w4-w5-w6-wI sound like a broken record, but this rain in Arizona will not stop!! I have realized that I now have a love/hate relationship with good ‘ole mother nature! I am an outdoor photographer and the rain is not my friend. However, it has done glorious things to our beautiful desert! The desert is as green as ever and so lush and overgrown. Which makes for some gorgeous backdrops. I really can’t complain!

With that being said, this particular day was raining all morning! Luckily, the clouds parted just in time for the shoot! I couldn’t have been more happy with the lighting I had and how the skies were a beautiful blue with gorgeous clouds. Yes, there were some puddles, but that was definitely something we could work around!

I had 2 seniors whose moms booked their shoots for the same day. These two guys have been friends since they were little, have gone to different high schools and will be heading off to two out of state schools. They are both playing baseball and I was extremely excited to have the ability to capture some awesome images on each of their fields!

Derek is an outfielder and will be playing for his college! I have known his mom for many years and was honored to capture his senior photos. It is so great when you can get them in their element. You can see them relax the second they step on that field. We had no shortage of ideas to work with! Shoutout to coach for letting us use the field!!

Lexie: the start of 2017

1-w2-w3-w5-w9-w10-wWhat an amazing start to 2017! Lexie is one of my senior reps and she is just the sweetest! She had sent me a pinterest board of the look she was going for in her session and I think we nailed it! Lexie is extremely photogenic and every shot of her is adorable! She has the best smile and the best laughing face! Lexie will be headed to GCU this fall and will be in their nursing program! So excited for her and her future endeavors!

Beauty in the desert

5-w6-w1-w4-w2-wI met Emily when she was 9. I coached a cheer team through our church and she was one of my cheerleaders. She was my hyper one! Always smiling and jumping around! She kept the team pumped at every practice! After a couple seasons, Emily had moved on to other sports and we lost touch for a bit. When she called me and told me she was a senior, I flashed back to that cheer team and couldn’t believe how fast the years went by!

Emily is still all smiles, happy, and loving life! She loves the AZ desert so we found a nice spot to have her session. Emily wanted the desert backdrop because one day when she moves away, she will have the memories of “home” to look back on!

Emily made her senior session even more special by getting pampered by Tiffany and had her makeup done! I love the way her eyes just popped! She was stunning in her photos!

Book your senior session in the desert! Spots still available!

A “Fair” to Remember

I have always thought it would be so fun to have a photo shoot at the fair! So I grabbed one of my senior reps, Ali and we went! Honestly, I feel this backdrop truly brings out the innocents in this age! It helps them remember how much fun their high school career has been and to embrace the remaining months of their childhood! This shoot was fun and vibrant and there was so much to creativity! I can’t wait to go back for another session! Thank you to my contacts at the Arizona State Fair for being super accommodating! We had a blast!! Is this not the perfect backdrop for your senior photos? Also, a chance to have a little fun too!

Accessorize Your Style

My mom loves making jewelry! She has been doing it for years and has so much fun with it! It is her “zen” to just forget about everything and get creative. Of course, I wanted her to make me some pieces that had the Boho vibe for my rep shoot and she did an amazing job! She is always watching the trends and she wanted to incorporate tassels, silver, feathers and wooden beads to really enhance the “hippie” in my look. I loved how each piece worked perfectly with the girls outfits!

My mother is an amazing woman, someone I admire so much! She is not only my mom but my best friend and one of my biggest fans. She encourages me everyday and for that I am so grateful. And of course, reminds me where I get my creativity from! LOL I love you, Mom! Thank you for being a part of this shoot and being a huge supporter! Your work is always amazing and I am a huge fan!!Harlee 13Harlee 14Harlee is wearing a beautiful beaded necklace with gold feathers and a tassel that matches the subtle teal accents throughout. The necklace popped on the backdrop of her white dress! Mariah 5Mariah 7Mariah’s outfit was tied together with a gorgeous three strand leather bracelet accented with beautiful silver and wooden beads. This was a perfect fit for her coachella style she wore! Christa 14Christa 15Christa’s wooden beaded necklace fit her to a “T”! The orange tassel gave the perfect pop of color to both of her outfits, proving to be a versatile accessory to a free spirit wardrobe! Christa shows that wearing orange can add personality and vibrancy to an outfit and can make a bold statement! It looks stunning with her skin tone as well!

Accessories can play such a huge part of your senior photos! Add them to every outfit and make your statement!
