How Important Is A Family Photo To You?

“I need to lose 20+ pounds and then I will schedule family photos.”

I am overloaded with work and every weekend we are at a different sports tournament for the kids.”

“I can’t afford family photos. Maybe next year.”

Do any of these sound like you? If so, it is time to throw those excuses out the window. You need family photos. Not next year, not in 2 years, NOW.

I have a dear friend of mine that had the first excuse. She was not happy with her weight and felt self conscious about being in photos.

She had a great husband and a beautiful baby girl. She was in love with her family but because she wasn’t confident about herself, she put off family photos.

Her beautiful baby girl was diagnosed with neurofibroma sarcoma and at 3 and a half years old, my friend had to say good-bye to her.

She has maybe 6 photos with her and her daughter and she wishes she had more. She wishes she wouldn’t have worried about what she “thought” wasn’t beautiful and had focused on what was beautiful the whole time. HER. Being a strong woman. Being that little girls mama. Being the beautiful wife that her husband adored.

Moms, have the courage to believe in yourselves. Don’t waste your energy focusing on the imperfections. Focus on what makes you truly beautiful. The important role you play in the lives of your children. Because when they look at you, you are the most beautiful human on the face of the earth.

Don’t let another year go by with another excuse to put off capturing memories you can’t get back.
